Josie’s 90th Birthday Celebration (Testimonial)

June 6, 2026 | Oceanside Pavilion • Port Hueneme, California

Some celebrations become memories you never forget. Josie’s 90th birthday was one of them. ❤️🇵🇭

Guests were delighted to arrive and see CAL TODA’s bright yellow Filipino tricycle welcoming everyone in front of the Oceanside Pavilion. It quickly became a favorite photo opportunity and brought an extra touch of Filipino culture to this very special milestone celebration.

But perhaps the most heartwarming moment of the day belonged to a 3-year-old guest who got to take a tricycle ride near the beach—a simple moment that brought so much joy and captured exactly what makes these experiences so memorable. 🛺

A very special thank you to CAL TODA’s Ron Jose, who graciously stepped in when the originally planned participant was unavailable. His willingness to show up for our family embodied the true Filipino spirit of Kapwa—our shared sense of connection, togetherness, and caring for one another.

CAL TODA will always hold a special place in our hearts for helping make this milestone 90th birthday even more unforgettable.

Celebrating a New Home for Filipino Culture

August 8 | Filipino Arts & Culture Center • Port Hueneme

CAL TODA was proud to show its support for the grand opening of the Filipino Arts & Culture Center, celebrating an exciting new gathering place for the Filipino community in Ventura County. 🛺🇵🇭

The day was filled with Filipino music, dance, martial arts, food, art, and community. CAL TODA added another piece of home to the celebration with a Filipino tricycle on display for guests to see, enjoy, and photograph.

And the fun didn't stop with photos! Guests waiting for the Lumpia & More Food Truck were treated to photo opportunities and even mini tricycle rides around the parking lot, bringing plenty of smiles and a little taste of everyday life in the Philippines to Port Hueneme.

CAL TODA is honored to support organizations and events that preserve Filipino culture, bring generations together, and strengthen our community.
